Finally I can review the BareMinerals bareSkin foundation. I have tried it in so many various ways and still dont know if I like it.
I purchased the foundation and the brush both at feelunique.com for about 30€ each. The foundation is 30mL
I chose the shade Bare Linen, it's a light neutral beige shade. Good match for my skin.
The brush is a bit weird at first, but it really makes the difference, if you dont get it in a set, then buy it. It's worth it.
I tried it with and without primer, on hot days, humid days, cold days, stressful days....
There are many shades, for each undertone, which I really like. The ingredients are quite clean, except the Phenoxyethanol. It contains SPF, but you know thats irrelevant, cause you had to apply tons of it to get the SPF.
It claims:
bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20 is bareMinerals® first ever pure brightening serum foundation.
Ultra-thin, silky texture - one to two weightless fluid drops transform, soften and smooth the appearance of your complexion.
Supercharged Lilac Plant Stem Cells and Vitamin C help to reveal brighter, more even-looking skin tone. Non-chemical SPF 20.
Hypoallergenic. Non-comedgenic. Dermatologist tested.

Directions: SHAKE, DROP, BUFF™ APPLICATION:
- SHAKE well for a perfect mix of ingredients.
- DROP 1 drop of bareMinerals® bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20 into the Perfecting Face Brush reservoir and add more, 1 at a time, to increase coverage.
- BUFF onto the skin in circular motions
1-2 Drops = Sheer Coverage.
3-4 Drops = Medium Coverage.
5-6 Drops = Full Coverage.
Ingredients:
Titanium dioxide 11.0%, caprylic/capric triglyceride, coconut alkanes, silica, stearalkonium, hectorite, lecithin, glycerin, maltodextrin, coco-caprylate/caprate, jojoba esters, propylene carbonate, tocopheryl acetate, soil minerals/syringa vulgaris (lilac) leaf cell culture extract, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, sodium hyaluronate, phenoxyethanol, mica, iron oxides.
Coverage:
- sheer to heavy medium depending on the amount you use
- I used every amount they recommend and I never really got a full coverage, but a very heavy medium
- and yes, two drops are enough for the whole face and you get an even light to medium coverage
Application:
- I tried the BM brush, a normal foundation brush, a buffing brush and the beauty blender
- only the BM brush made the application smooth and even
- everything else soaks up too much product or doesnt get the foundation even
Longevity:
- for my oily skin pretty short
- makes me oily
- transfers
- wears off very easy
Skin compatibility:
- very good
- no breakouts
- no redness
- but it makes me very oily, even when I set with powder
Fazit:
- probably a good foundation
- not for oily skin
- don't know if I like it
- def need the brush
- 5/10
