Bare Minerals bareSkin Pure Bright Serum Foundation {Review}

Hi beauties :)

Finally I can review the BareMinerals bareSkin foundation. I have tried it in so many various ways and still dont know if I like it.

I purchased the foundation and the brush both at feelunique.com for about 30€ each. The foundation is 30mL

I chose the shade Bare Linen, it's a light neutral beige shade. Good match for my skin.

The brush is a bit weird at first, but it really makes the difference, if you dont get it in a set, then buy it. It's worth it.

I tried it with and without primer, on hot days, humid days, cold days, stressful days....

There are many shades, for each undertone, which I really like.  The ingredients are quite clean, except the Phenoxyethanol. It contains SPF, but you know thats irrelevant, cause you had to apply tons of it to get the SPF.

It claims:

bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20 is bareMinerals® first ever pure brightening serum foundation.
Ultra-thin, silky texture - one to two weightless fluid drops transform, soften and smooth the appearance of your complexion.

Supercharged Lilac Plant Stem Cells and Vitamin C help to reveal brighter, more even-looking skin tone. Non-chemical SPF 20.

Hypoallergenic. Non-comedgenic. Dermatologist tested.

Sunday Times Style Awards 2015 Nominee: Best Foundation.
- 85% of women experienced a measurable improvement in the appearance of dark spots.*
- Apply with the bareMinerals® Perfecting Face Brush.

*Based on an independent U.S. clinical study of 94 women after 8 weeks of use.

Directions: SHAKE, DROP, BUFF™ APPLICATION:
- SHAKE well for a perfect mix of ingredients.
- DROP 1 drop of bareMinerals® bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation SPF20 into the Perfecting Face Brush reservoir and add more, 1 at a time, to increase coverage.
- BUFF onto the skin in circular motions

1-2 Drops = Sheer Coverage.
3-4 Drops = Medium Coverage.
5-6 Drops = Full Coverage.

Ingredients:
Titanium dioxide 11.0%, caprylic/capric triglyceride, coconut alkanes, silica, stearalkonium, hectorite, lecithin, glycerin, maltodextrin, coco-caprylate/caprate, jojoba esters, propylene carbonate, tocopheryl acetate, soil minerals/syringa vulgaris (lilac) leaf cell culture extract, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, sodium hyaluronate, phenoxyethanol, mica, iron oxides.

Coverage:
  • sheer to heavy medium depending on the amount you use
  • I used every amount they recommend and I never really got a full coverage, but a very heavy medium
  • and yes, two drops are enough for the whole face and you get an even light to medium coverage

Application:
  • I tried the BM brush, a normal foundation brush, a buffing brush and the beauty blender
  • only the BM brush made the application smooth and even
  • everything else soaks up too much product or doesnt get the foundation even

Longevity:
  • for my oily skin pretty short
  • makes me oily
  • transfers
  • wears off very easy

Skin compatibility:
  • very good
  • no breakouts
  • no redness
  • but it makes me very oily, even when I set with powder

Fazit:
  • probably a good foundation
  • not for oily skin
  • don't know if I like it
  • def need the brush
  • 5/10

Caudalie Teint Divin Mineral Tinted Moisturizer {Review}

Hi beauties :)

Today I have another review for you. Its about the Caudalie Teint Divin Mineral Tinted Moisturizer. I have both shades, the light to medium and the medium to dark, as samples. I tried it and I'm shocked. Its really not good. The shades are actually horrible, dont know who designed this.

The ingredients aren't clean, it does contain silicone and perfume. Glycerin is on the second place in the list.....
Its not very cheap, but the product is not worth the price. The ingredients are more dyring than hydrating and the shades available wont fit most people.

about 25€ for 30mL

Maybe I got a bad batch, or my retailer didnt store it correctly and it went bad, but I'm very disappointed.

It claims to be hydrating and self adjusting.......yeah, not.

Ingredients
AQUA (WATER), GLYCERIN*, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, ISONONYL ISONONANOATE, METHYL METHACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, DIMETHICONE PEG-7 PHOSPHATE, SQUALANE*, GLYCERYL STEARATE SE*, CETEARYL ALCOHOL*, CETEARETH-20*, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER EXTRACT*, TOCOPHERYL ACETATE*, SODIUM ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, HYDROGENATED POLYISOBUTENE, PARFUM (FRAGRANCE), SILICA, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, PALMITOYL GRAPE SEED EXTRACT*, POTASSIUM SORBATE, XANTHAN GUM, PHOSPHOLIPIDS*, POLYGLYCERYL-10 STEARATE*, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL*, ISOPROPYL TITANIUM TRIISOSTEARATE, CARBOMER, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, HYALURONIC ACID, SODIUM PHYTATE*, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, TOCOPHEROL*, BENZYL SALICYLATE, HYDROXYCITRONELLAL, LINALOOL, BUTYLPHENYL METHYLPROPIONAL [+/- MAY CONTAIN : CI 77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), CI 77491 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77492 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77499 (IRON OXIDES), CI 77019 (MICA)]. (045/195) * Plant Origin

Shades:
As you can see in this picture are the two shades they had at the store, they told me are the only shades available. On the left is medium to dark and on the right light to medium. The shades are way more intense in real life.
  • Light to medium has a pink undertone and the main color is orangy-beige.
  • Medium-to-dark is basically a milk cocolate color and perfect for women of color.
  • Both are not self adjusting, my skin is light with neutral undertones, and you were always able to tell were I applied the moisturizer

 Coverage:

  •  very light
  • natural, typically tinted moisturizer coverage, but good
  • natural to semi-matte finish, which I really liked
  • easy to blend and to spread
  • dries fast, but you can work with it
  • as you can see, theres a obvious line between my skin uncovered and  the tinted moisturizer ( i used the shade light)
  • I used less than a pea size amount, but still not adjusting
  • looks like a mask on me, maybe when you have the right skin it will blend nicely

Skin compatiblity:
  • silicone and perfume made my skin break out and dehydrated
  • skin is slighlty red
  • if you dont have this problem than you should be good

Fazit:
  • not a good product
  • not clean ingredients
  • only two colors, which are way off to adjusting
  • my skin reacted badly, but my skin is a diva, so manybe you wont have this problems
  • I liked the finish
  • rating 2/10

Hope you liked this review

Taylor Swift "Blank Space" music video makeup {Tutorial}

Hey beauties :)

Isn't Taylor Swift just the best singer/performer ever!!! Since 2006 I'm a Swiftie and adore her, but now she just blew my mind with 1989!!!
Blank space is one of my favorites and the video was amazing!!! So self ironic and hilarious! Love her makeup look in the video and we need to do a recreation of it :)

The product recommendations aren't clean, I'm searching for natural/organic options. Its hard to find specific colors and textures for this look.

That's the look! Classic and amazing Taylor! She wears the same look the whole video, only the hair changes a couple of times.

Face:
  • Taylor's face ist flawless so use a good primer ( Smashbox photo finish for silicone based foundations or Korres magnifying primer for water based foundations)
  • Apply a light coat of foundation, enough to cover imperfections and even out the skin tone, but not too much that it cakes (MUFE HD foundation or Makeup Atelier Paris HD fluid)
  • Taylor has pretty much an airbrushed face (Dinair), but every foundation works of course
  • Just keep the face matte

Contour:
  • You can use the Kim K contour with liquid or creams, just remember a contour for warm and neutral skin tones has to be neutral and cool for cool, tones -> warm contour colors make your face look dirty easily
  • Or just use a neutral brown powder to contour your cheekbones and nose
  • No sparkly highlighters here, just liquid or cream highlighters with no shimmer
  • For these steps just use foundation, L'oreal True match comes in so many different shades and undertones

Eyes:
Let's take a closeup look

  • For the eyeshadows its better to use matte ones, cause we gonna do a strong lip; a good eyeshadow options would be Makeupgeek neutrals, MAC Neutrals, Urban Decay Naked or NYX neutrals, NYX has a Parisian Chic palett,e which is inexpensive, but has everything you need
  • Prep the eyelids (Utban Decay Primer potion)
  • Use a white or very very light skin tone color on the lid
  • Use a dark grey shadow in the outer corner and blend it all the way in the crease
  • Create more depth with a black shadow in the outer corner and blend it a bit with the crease
  • Use a liquid or gel liner to liner your upper lid with a nice winged liner and line your lower lashline too (Makeupgeek Immortal Liner)
  • Use a white in the waterline
  • Curl your lashes and apply mascara (L'oreal voluminous mascara)
  • Taylor wears false lashes (Red Cherry)

Cheeks:
  • Just a little bit of rosy blush (love the Tarte ones, they're matte)

Lips:
  • Line your lips and fill them in a cherry lip liner
  • Apply lipstick (Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Satin Lip Colour in Pirate)

And you're done!!!
Hope you like it

Juice Beauty "Organics to clear skin" {Review}

Hey beauties :)

As you read in my acne story, I suffered quite a long time from acne, but I got it under control. I figured a great skincare routine out now. Thx to this products :)
Everything is organic and is tox-free
Purchased at www.naturisimo.com for 39£/48€/$63

That's how the kit looks like, from left to right:
Green Apple Peel 7,4ml
Blemish Clearing Cleanser 120ml
Oil free Moisturizer 30 ml
Blemish Clearing Serum 30ml
organic cotton cloth

Green Apple Peel
An amazing peel. It's an AHA peel, which is extremely gentle and only made of organic ingredients. The instruction say to apply it once a week and leave it on for  a couple of seconds, about 15 sec. It doesn't burn or sting, like the salicylic acid peel I have.
It looks like a light green-yellow paste, really like blended apples. I apply it with my fingers and rinse it with water. My skin was never red, irritated or  peeled, it only looks fresh, rosy and clear.  It's almost 3 months I use this kit and I barely used any of this product and I use this every week. Definitely repurchasing!

Blemish Clearing Cleanser
Really nice cleanser. It looks a bit strange, cause it's brown and has a runny gel like consistency, but it's really good! It only obtains organic ingredients, like aloe or cherry juice. This product foams up a bit and cleanses my face amazingly. It's really gently on the skin, my skin isn't red, dehydrated or feels stripped. My skin feels clean and soft. I use this cleanser with my fingers, Konjac sponge and clarisonic, it works with everything. It removes makeup, sunscreen and all that jazz like nothing. I used this cleanser almost 3 months, although the kit says it lasts for 30 days - impressive!!! Of course I will repurchase!

Oil free Moisturizer
The only product I'm not so impressed with it. It's a good moisturizer, it hydrates the skin and gives a good feel, but it felt a bit waxy on my skin. It's not that greasy, more waxy. It's just a plain white moisturizer, but it contains beeswax, so you have to be careful, cause this can break people out. For me it is ok, but I like my pai moisturizer better. I will use it up, but not sure if I repurchase it.

Blemish Clearing Serum
A dream serum! Lightweight but effective. The tube is very long lasting, I only used half the tube. It's very runny and you only need a little tiny bit for your whole face. It contains salicylic acid from willow bark and Q10, it clears while hydrating. A really good serum. My skin stays clear and during the time of the month my spots are very tiny and heal quite fast.  The serum is light yellow and absorbs fast, leaving no sticky feels. It doesn't irritate my skin and I can use it the day after the green apple peel without my skin burning and turning red. Also a repurchase!!

All together a great trial kit! It lasts longer than 30 days and I found a few products to incorporate in my skincare routine.

Hope you guys liked this

Taylor Swift "Shake it off" music video looks {Tutorial}

Hey beauties :)

We all know how much I love and adore Taylor Swift!!! She's my queen!!! Her new look and sound is really amazing and "Shake it off" is just fantastic!!

The product suggestions are not all tox-free, cause its hard to find products like they used on her within the natural/organic cosmetic brands. I will look for them either way and update them.
Let's take a look at her lipstick looks :)
The eyes are almost the same and are quite easy, just subtle changes. The makeup is focused on the lips. The picture are not always the best, but the looks are quite easy.

True red lipstick with a neutral shadows and a thick liner - that's also the cheerleader look
  • Use beige on lid, a warm matte shade (Urban Decay Naked Palette)
  • Darker brown in crease, also warm and matte (Urban Decay Naked Palette)
  • Use a lighter satin champagne shade on the inner third (Urban Decay Naked Palette)
  • Thick black liquid liner on the upper lid and on the outer third of the lower lid (Lancôme Artliner)
  • Use a true red lipstick ( MAC in Dubonnet or Maybelline Timeless Crimson)
  • Face is highlighted and contoured

An very nice everyday look
  • Line upper and lower lid completely with a pencil liner and smudge out, no wing (Artdeco Black kohl pencil)
  • White liner in the lower waterline
  • Face isn't much contoured
  • Light pink on the lips (Bobbi Brown in Pale Mauve)

Neutral eye and a orangey-red lipstick
  • Skin tone color on the lid (Urban Decay Naked Palette)
  • Slightly darker skin tone color in the crease (Urban Decay Naked Palette)
  • Black liquid liner on the top lashes and a bit of pencil black liner on the bottom lashes, thinner as for the true red lipstick look (Lancôme Artliner and Artdeco kohl pencil liner)
  • Contour your face
  • Orangey-red lipstick (Maybelline Color Sensational Vivid in Vibrant Mandarine)

Elegant look, black swan inspired
  • A light shimmery champagne color on the lid
  • Thick black liner on the top, with a prominent wing and a tiny wing
  • Use a black in the crease and wing/smudge it out along the hollows and above the wing, on the brow bone
  • Thin black liner on the bottom
  • Contoured and highlighted face
  • Pink lipstick (Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Teak Rose)

Nice, fun and flirty
  • Same neutral eye as the one with the organgey-red lipstick
  • Just use a purple lipstick (Milani Color Statement lipstick in Sangria or MAC Rebel)

Great makeup for glasses - awesome everyday look
  • Same eye as the true red lipstick look
  • Use a nice fuchsia/pink lipstick  (CoverGirl Lipperfection in Eternal)

Lady Gaga like!!!
  • It's the same eye look as the true red lipstick
  • Use a gold lipstick (Kaoir Cosmetics in Golden Goddess)

Love that Taylor has basically the same eye look, except for the ballerina look and just pairs different lipsticks with it.
Hope you enjoyed this
Jess :)

Hunt for Silicone-free foundation/ Lily Lolo {Review}

Hey beauties :)

Finally a new post!!
Ok my journey to a tox free makeup collection continues. I already have a tox free and organic face, body and hair care regimen, but for makeup I'm not lucky.
I threw out all makeup products with high and dangerous toxins, like parabens. But now I have no foundations left...

First of all I researched and found that the best options to start with are mineral powder foundations.
I decided for the Lilly Lolo mineral foundation and I'm very pleased. It's a real good foundation.

Mini review

  • Blends nice
  • Light-medium coverage, more to the medium side depending on the brush you use
  • Buildable
  • No skin irritation
  • No caking
  • Only for good moisturized skin, not for dry skin types
I really love this foundation on a daily basis and for warmer months

But I really want a liquid or cream foundation and I already tried a few
  • All alverde foundations (German brand)
  • Zuii flora foundation
  • Lavera BB and CC cream and foundations
  • Inika foundation
None of this foundations pleased me. They don't cover, or cake on me

Hopefully will I find a good foundation one day
If you have any suggestions, please let me know :)

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Treatment Mask {Review}

Hi beauties :)

One thing about my skin that I would love to change is my proneness to dehydration. One good rescue product is the treatment mask by Burt's Bees.

Ingredients
Aqua (Water), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Glycerin, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Parfum (Fragrance), Propanediol, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract, Lactobacillus, Astrocaryum Tucuma Seed Butter, Trichilia Emetica Seed Butter, Cera Alba (Beeswax, Cire D'abeille), Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Peel, Polymnia Sonchifolia Root Juice, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax, Lecithin, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Maltodextrin, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Stearic Acid, Sodium PCA, Zinc PCA, Potassium Stearate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Amyl Cinnamal, Eugenol, Hydroxycitronellal, Linalool

The ingredients are more or less clean, like the cream cleanser there's fragrance and phenoxyethanol.
It's a mask so I leave it longer in the skin, so these ingredients aren't the most optimal. Instructions said to leave it on for 10 min.

Packaging:
  • White plastic tube
  • Quite hygienic

Consistency:
  • Very thick white cream
  • Sinks in quite quick

Skin compatibility:
  • Very good
  • No irritation
  • No redness
  • No breakouts
  • But doesn't cure my dehydration
  • It is a good sos product, helps definitely, but my dehydration isn't completely gone

Fazit
  • Good product
  • Doesn't help completely, but good to have
  • Ingredients could be better
  • 6/10

Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser {Review}

Hi beauties :)

The last weeks I'm testing the Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cream Cleanser. It's a good product, with one down side.

Ingredients
Aqua (Water, Eau), Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Parfum (Fragrance)*, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Extract, Lactobacillus, Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter, Cera Alba (Beeswax, Cire D'abeille), Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Jojoba Esters,Hydrolyzed Jojoba Esters, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Peel, Polymnia Sonchifolia Root Juice, Zinc Oxide, Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide, Propanediol, Maltodextrin, Tocopherol, Xanthan Gum, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Arginine, Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Amyl Cinnamal, Citral, Eugenol, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool. *Natural Fragrance.

The ingredients are quite clean. Tox free, but with a bit fragrance, even if it's natural. And a bit phenoxyethanol, but it's a wash off product, so it's ok for me.

I bought if for about 20€ for 170g

Consistency:
  • A thick white cream
  • You really need a very little
  • Works good with the clarisonic
  • Doesn't foam up

Packaging:
  • Squeeze tube

Skin compatibility:
  • No irritation
  • No breakouts
  • No redness
  • Just fresh and clean skin
  • No dehydration, I'm surprised, cause there's fragrance and Phemoxyethanol in it.
  • But...it stings in the eyes!!

Fazit:
  • A good cleanser
  • A little goes a long way
  • Skin feels good after cleansing, doesn't strip the oils
  • But stings in the eyes
  • 8/10

Logona BB cream vs Logona CC cream {Review}

Hi beauties :)

Today I wanna review two products by the brand Logona. Its a brand available in Europe and it's quite popular.
Cause my skin isn't tolerating silicones I have to use a silicone free bb or cc cream with my mineral foundation on top of it.  I havent found a good organic foundation yet.

These are the two BB/CC creams I want to compare.
On the left BB cream with mint and hamamelis, mattifying in beige-gold. On the right CC cream age protection with Hylaronuric acid and Argan oil in medium beige. Both don't contain SPF, but are organic

Ingredients BB cream mint and hamamelis in beige-gold mattifying:
Aqua (Water), Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil*, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil*, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*, Hydogenated Vegetable Oil, Glycerin, Kaolin, Mica, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Parfum (Essential Oils), Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Lauryl PCA, Sorbitol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Punica Granatum Seed Extract*, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract*, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract*, Galactoarabinan, Silica, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Citrate, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Lecithin, Tocopherol, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides Citrate, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract*, Limonene, Geraniol, Linalool, Citronellol, Coumarin, Benzyl Salicylate, Citral, Silver Oxide, CI 77891, CI 77491, CI 77492

Ingredients CC cream age protection hyaluronic acid and Argan oil in medium beige:
Aqua (Water), Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Bellis Perennis Flower Extract*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Alcohol*, Glycerin, Cocos Nucifera Oil*, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil*, Silica, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, Palmitic Acid, Stearic Acid, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil*, Isoamyl Laurate, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil*, Beta Vulgaris Root Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract*, Hydrolyzed Corn Starch, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Seed Extract, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Titanium Dioxide, Sorbitol, Sodium Levulinate, Xanthan Gum, Lactic Acid, Sodium Anisate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Tocopherol, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, p-Anisic Acid, Sodium Chloride, Disodium Phosphate, Potassium Chloride, Potassium Phosphate, Parfum (Essential Oils), Linalool, Limonene, Citral, Coumarin, Geraniol,.

Both costs about 10€ for 30ml

Here are swatches

Natural lighting

Inside with flash

As you can see from the swatches, they are both similar, but the CC cream is a bit darker and more pinkish.

Consistency:
  • Both are quite creamy and not runny
Packaging:
  • Both are in a squeeze tube with a screw on cap
Skin compatibility:
  • Both very good
  • No irritation
  • Extremly light coverage, just for evening out the complexion
  • Ok smell
  • Both aren't moisturizing enough alone
  • CC cream appears more covering, but pinkish on skin
  • BB cream melts into the skin, but isn't mattifying
Fazit:
  • Both are good BB/CC creams
  • I prefer the BB cream, cause it's a better color match
  • I use mineral powder on top of it for more coverage and mattifying effect
  • Perfect for an everyday look

Hope you guys found this helpful

St. Tropez In Shower gradual Tan {Review}

Hi beauties :)

I've got such an amazing product for you now! The new In Shower Tan by St. Tropez!

I' love the St Tropez self tanner, but because of my skin I had to cut out all the cosmetics with toxins in them. When I self tan I dont want a dark tan, I wanna have a nice glow with a healthy skin tone. Usually I had the light or medium tanners by them.

This is a gradual tan - yaaay and the ingredients are really ok.
It contains DHA, so its not natural and Parfume, means that I cant use it every day.
But for a special occasion it's ok.

Ingredients

Aqua (Water), Dihydroxyacetone, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Diethylhexyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate,
Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Ethoxydiglycol, Sodium Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl
Taurate Copolymer, Parfum (Fragrance), Propylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Chloride, Coco-Glucoside, Glyceryl Oleate, Isohexadecane, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-DI-t-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Glyceryl Laurate, PEG-18 Glyceryl Oleate/Cocoate, Polysorbate 80, Caramel, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Decylene Glycol, Caprylyl Glycol,
Sodium Hydroxide, Geraniol, Linalool, Limonene, Alphaisomethyl Ionone, Coumarin.

This is not a natural product I know,  only wanted to introduce natural and organic products, but I havent found a good natural self tanner yet. St Tropez is a brand that I know and used and they're really good.

 Consistency:
  • yellowy-white cream
  • easy to spred on skin
  • leathers up
Skin compatiblity:
  • because of the alcohol I can't use it every day
  • besides that no irritations
Results:
  • after one use there was a very light glow
  • after three uses I had a nice healthy color
  • really nice!!
  • no transfer to clothes
How to use it:
  • hop into your shower and use your regular body wash
  • rinse
  • use the In Shower Tan like a body wash and wait for 3 min
  • rinse
  • done

I brushed my teeth during the three minutes, if you're curious :)

Hopefully I will discover an organic self tanner that is as good as St Tropez. I tried Lavera, but they made me look yerllow.

Next I'm gonna try wash off tans!

Pictures are about to come

Hope you liked my review

Pai Rosehip bioregenerate Oil {Review}

Hi beauties :)

Today again a review of one of my absolute favorites Pai's Rosehip oil.
It's an amazing product!!

Pai says this about its oil:

Here are the ingredients:

What I say:

Consistency:
  • Orange oil
  • Easy to distribute
  • Easily absorbed

Skin compatibility:
  • Amazing!!
  • Best organic retinol
  • Skin feels soft and supple
  • No irritation
  • No redness
  • Helps skin to heal and lines become softer (my mom and grandma love this stuff)

Packaging:
  • Glass bottle
  • With dropper
  • Hygienic
  • Easy to use
Fazit:
  • Amazing stuff
  • CO2 extraction is the most gentle method, so the oil is pure and high in concentration
  • Highest concentration in an organic product of Rosehip oil
  • Great for skin, makes it soft and helps to fight radicals
  • 10/10

Hope you guys like this products as much as I do

Lavera Basis Sensitive 2in1 Cleansing Milk, old and new formulation {Review}

Hi beauties :)

As a student I have a new budget. Yeah but sometimes at the end of my money sometimes there's still so much months! So I sometimes switch to the cheaper version of a cleansing milk, Laveras basis sensitive cleansing milk.
It says it's a 2in1 product, makeup remover and cleanser. Isn't every cleanser also a makeup remover?
Ok, this particular product is organic, but the ingredients aren't that amazing for me.

As you can see glycerin and alcohol are at the beginning of the list. And there's also Perfume in it. It's a cleanser, so I rinse it and it doesn't stay permanent on my skin, so I can bear a bit of alcohol.

Consistency:
  • More like a cream than a milk
  • Yellow-white color
  • Typical lavera smell
  • Old formulation: oily, but not too oily and very good to rinse
  • New formulation: extremly oily, doesn't give you a clean feeling afterwards, face has a oil film even after drying

Skin compatibility:
  • It's a bit drying
  • No irritation, no breakouts
  • Old formulation: cleans, skin feels dry afterwards, but it's totally bearable
  • New formulation: doesn't clean the skin, even with the clarisonic

Packaging:
  • In a white tube

Fazit:
  • Old formulation was ok, was a good substitute for my usually pricey cleanser
  • Could never use more than one tube, cause too drying
  • 6/10
  • New formulation is horrible
  • Just smears the dirt around, doesn't clean skin
  • Can't rinse it, can't take it completely off with a cloth
  • 1/10

MyChelle Ultra Hydrating Serum {Review}

Hi beauties:)

My very dehydrated skin got rescued by this amazing serum!
Look at the ingredients! They're really good and there's so much hyaluronic acid in it! Haven't seen this with any other natural/organic product. This product is natural, not organic.

~ 44€ for 30 mL

Consistency:
  • Slightly white, translucent milky serum
  • Runny
  • Very nice to distribute over the face
  • One pump is enough, so a little goes a long way

Skin compatibility:
  • So soothing for my skin, it's like my skin drank a bottle of water
  • Absorbs very quickly
  • No irritation, no blemishes
  • Goes perfect with every moisturizer
  • Best when applied to slightly damp skin

Packaging:
  • Glass bottle, but very sturdy
  • Pump

Fazit:
  • One of my favorite serums
  • It makes my skin soft and it doesn't feel dry and itchy anymore
  • It lasts long
  • 9/10

My skin story

Hey beauties!!

I started this blog, cause I had always problematic skin and never felt very confident about it. There are lost of other people with the same or similar problems like me. So I'm sharing my skin story and maybe you'll find your skin here as well.

Everything started when puberty hit me. I got acne. Not just teen acne, no I got big cystic acne! All over my face! I went to tons of doctors, estheticians and what not, but nothing really helped. I tried every drugstore anti acne product out there and nothing helped.
My gyn said we are trying the anti-baby-pill and my acne kind of flattened and the redness wasn't as prominent. But I still had acne and my skin wasn't clear.
During my time on hormones I tried every skincare brand and nothing happened!! Seriously guys nothing worked!
My skin became oilier on the top, but felt dry underneath. It just didn't feel good.
After 10 years on hormones I decided to get off it and wanted to cleanse my body from it. So I didn't took my hormones and bang - the acne came back!! It was wore than before!
Yeah, great decision.....but after a few months my t-zone cleared up. Seriously, my t-zone was clear, and only on my lower cheeks the zits developed to cysts.
My research began! I searched the Internet and found that acne on the mostly the lower cheeks is related to hormonal imbalances.  I observed my skin for a few weeks, to see if it gets better or worse during my cyclus. Yes it got worse during the time of the month and better afterwards.
I researched again and found that evening primrose oil and monks pepper are natural helpers to balance hormones and to stabilize your cycle.
They really improved my skin! My cysts were flat overnight and weren't that inflamated anymore. I was hella impressed! My skin looked better than it ever looked during the time I took hormones.
My next step was to improve my skincare. The issue with the oil on top and the dryness underneath was still present.
So I researched again. My skin was dehydrated. Ok sounds logic, my skin produces enough (actually it produces too much) oil, but it lacks of water.
What I needed to find is what ingredient is too harsh and dries my skin out. Simple as that :)
After a long trial and error with different products, different brands, different everything I found out that my skin can't tolerate dyes, perfumes, alcohol and mineral oil. As well as silicones and parabens.
Ok that only means I needed to throw all my skincare away and need new one!
Yaaas!!

That's how I began my adventure!! My skin, hair and body care is now completely natural/organic, but with my makeup I have to compromise.
Let's go on this adventure together and find the perfect products for us :)

Hope you enjoyed this post
Jess :)
